"The best of the best" is what you will find in the following photos.  Each month franchise owners submit their best "before and after" photos and Kitchen Tune-Up® Home Office enters them in our Kitchen of the Month Contest.  Entries are judged on photo quality, actual work done, accurate before and after photos and all-over dramatic change. The winner(s) are recognized in the National newsletter and their photos are listed on the website.

Refacing:

Congratulations to Paul Demerjian of Stoneham, MA, who was chosen by
unanimous vote as the February Kitchen of the Month winner.  This kitchen
went from bland, a slab door cabinet with very outdated handles, to rich, a
stylish kitchen with beautiful coordinating valances.  The addition of
pocket lights adds a warm glow to the revived ktichen.

Floor Restoration:

Look at the dramatic change in the once worn, scuffed, and scratched surface
of the before shot of this floor restoration.  The work performed by Scott &
Virginia Hanson of Chicago, IL, has brought new life and vibrant color back
to it for the homeowners to enjoy for many more years.  Great job!

Bathtub Liners:

Who wouldn't want to change their old-styled, tile-crumbling, mildewy
bathroom into one that is modern, one-piece acrylic and sparkling clean?
That's what James and Christine Faust of Schuylkill Haven, PA, did for their
client!  Wouldn't you agree, the 'after' shot is much more inviting?

Refacing:

Congratulations to Julia Barr, Idaho Falls, ID, for the above winning entry
for the January Kitchen of the Month!  The flat-paneled style of doors along
with the plaid wallpaper certainly dates the before shot of this kitchen.
We can see why this customer went to Julia for help.  And help she did -
this kitchen was literally transformed into the 21st century with an updated
cabinet style and tiled backsplash.  Also, by removing the upper peninsula
of cabinets and adding the three modern lights, it makes the area more
inviting to sit at.  Nice job!

Cabinet Restoration:

Congratulations to Dan & Irina Owens of Brookline, NH, for the winning
'tune-up' entry.  The before shot shows a badly checked and worn kitchen
cabinet.  Thanks to the Owen's expertise, that same cabinet was beautifully
restored!

Refacing + new:

How do you make a dramatic change to your kitchen?  Call Scott Miller,
Kitchen Tune-Up of Las Vegas, NV.  He took a so-so looking kitchen and by
refacing, plus adding a couple of new cabinets, made a remarkable-looking
transformed kitchen.  The rich, warm-toned cabinets and dark countertop make
for a truly gorgeous kitchen.

Cabinet Restoration:

Congratulations to Scott and Virginia Hanson of Chicago, IL, for the above
winning 'whitewash' tune-up entry!  The badly soiled and worn area around
the handle has almost gotten through to the wood.  The handle is just as bad
as the actual door.  The Hanson's did a fantastic job in restoring these
cabinets to 'like new' condition.  Wouldn't you agree?

Refacing:

Here's a dramatic change to this kitchen.  It appears as if you're in a
completely different house!  The customer went from a flat, white laminate
door style to a beautiful, warm, raised panel wood door with 5-piece drawer
headers.  They also changed the countertops, backsplash, soffit and updated
the lighting.  This kitchen has definitely been enhanced by the make-over!
Great job Mike and Teri Mitchell of Clearwater, FL!

New Cabinets:

Take a look at this 'combobulated' family room!  Very disorganized and
piece-mealed together.  Dan and Mary Tokarski of Centreville, VA, to the
rescue!  Just a glance at the 'after' photo tells us that these customers
made a smart choice when they contacted Kitchen Tune-Up for help.  The
entertainment center the Tokarski's designed is just wonderful.  I'll bet
these customers were absolutely tickled with the results.

Refacing:

Are you not astonished at the amazing transformation of this kitchen?  The very old
style, mis-matched doors/drawers, and exposed hinges were done away with,
and in their place a beautiful light maple refacing was performed with the addition
of glass doors and stylish hardware, new countertops, and accent molding to make
this kitchen a hum-dinger!  This terrific job was done by Noel and Donna Erickson
of Twin Falls, ID.  Congratulations!

Bath Tune-up:

Congratulations to James and Christine Faust of Schuylkill Haven, PA on this winning
entry.  Wouldn't it be a joy to bathe in the new bathtub surround after seeing the old one?
I'll bet the clients were very happy!  Good job!
